For the past 26 years I've been working as an artist doing everything from technical illustration, medical illustration, concept design, book covers, animation and yes... I've even taught illustration at art college.
But... there's a huge gap in what's being taught and what you actually need to build a successful career.
It's frustrating to see so many artists struggle when they are so close to having a fulfilling creative career. What I've realized is that many of the artists that approach me for career advice have actually been ready to 'turn pro' for at least the past 6 months.
